  • 1/4 stick butter (room temperature)
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup rolled oats
  • 3/4 cup all purpose flour
  • chocolate chips or chunks
  • mixing bowl, cookie sheet, parchment paper
  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
  2. Cream together butter and sugar, add egg and vanilla extract. Scraping down sides of bowl to incorporate all ingredients.
  3. In a separate bowl mix dry ingredients, and slowly add dry indigence to the wet. Do not over mix. Add chocolate chips.
  4. Scoop spoonfuls of batter onto cookie sheet wrapped with parchment paper. Bake for 15 - 20 minutes. Let cool slightly and enjoy.
